Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

Your questions, answered with care and clarity.

DNA Testing

1. What types of DNA tests do you offer?
We offer legal and non-legal (peace-of-mind) paternity tests, as well as grandparent, avuncular (aunt/uncle), and siblingship DNA tests. Legal tests follow a chain-of-custody process and are court-admissible, while non-legal tests are for personal knowledge only.

2. What is the difference between legal and non-legal testing?
Legal testing requires verified identification, documented chain-of-custody, and certified lab analysis so results can be used for court or legal purposes. Non-legal tests provide confidential results for personal understanding but are not accepted in court.

3. How is a DNA sample collected?
Samples are collected using a painless buccal (cheek) swab. The inside of each participant’s cheek is swabbed for a few seconds using sterile collection swabs, then sealed and sent to an accredited laboratory for analysis.

4. Do I need the mother to participate in a paternity test?
The mother’s sample is optional but highly recommended because it improves the accuracy and clarity of results.

5. How long does it take to get results?
Turnaround times vary depending on the test type and laboratory workload. Most DNA test results are available within a few business days after the lab receives the samples.

6. Can you test more than one alleged father or child?
Yes. Additional participants can be added to your test for an extra fee. Please contact us to discuss your specific situation.

7. Do you offer prenatal (before birth) DNA testing?
Non-invasive prenatal testing (NIPP) is not available at this time but will be offered in the future. Please check back soon or join our email list for updates.

Drug Testing

8. What drug testing services do you offer?
We provide both DOT and Non-DOT urine drug testing. All collections are performed by certified collectors following strict chain-of-custody procedures.

9. What’s the difference between DOT and Non-DOT testing?
DOT testing is federally regulated and required for employees in safety-sensitive positions, such as commercial drivers. Non-DOT testing applies to general employers or individuals and can be customized to meet your organization’s policies.

10. Do you provide on-site (mobile) testing?
Yes! We specialize in mobile collections. Our team comes to your location—whether a business, clinic, or community site—to save you time and minimize workplace disruptions.

11. How long does a drug test appointment take?
Most drug collections take about 15–25 minutes per person, depending on the number of participants and site setup.

12. Do you offer hair or oral fluid testing?
Not at this time. Oral fluid testing will be available soon, and training is currently in progress.

Courier Services

13. What are medical courier services?
Our medical courier service provides safe, secure, and timely transport of specimens, medical records, and supplies between healthcare facilities, laboratories, and organizations.

14. Are your couriers trained to handle medical materials?
Yes. All couriers are trained in HIPAA compliance, specimen handling, and chain-of-custody documentation to maintain accuracy and confidentiality.

15. What areas do you serve for courier pickup and delivery?
We currently serve Maryland, North Carolina, and Florida, with expansion planned in the Mid-Atlantic region. Please contact us to confirm if we service your area.

Payments & Appointments

16. How can I pay for my test?
Payments can be made online through our website or in person at your appointment. Deposits may be required to secure your booking.

17. Does insurance cover DNA or drug testing?
Most DNA and drug tests are considered elective and are not covered by insurance. Payment is required at the time of service.

18. What if I need to reschedule or cancel my appointment?
Please provide at least 24 hours’ notice if you need to cancel or reschedule. Late cancellations may result in a nonrefundable deposit.

Privacy & Results

19. Are my results confidential?
Yes. All testing and communication are handled with strict confidentiality. We comply with HIPAA and maintain secure, private handling of all records and results.

20. Who receives the test results?
Results are released only to the authorized individual(s) listed on the consent forms. We do not share results with third parties unless legally required or authorized in writing.
